BBQ Pulled Pork Recipe | Shukers Butchers
Date: Jul 13,2022This is one of those go-to summer meals that everyone loves. Nothing is better on a hot summer day than sitting outside with friends and family and enjoying a nice pulled pork meal. This recipe is simple and easy to follow, and it is something that even novice cooks can make. It doesn’t have to be served outside; it can be enjoyed any time of year.
Ingredients
-
2 tsp smoked paprika
-
2 tsp ground cumin
-
2 tsp pepper
-
2 tsp brown sugar
-
1 tsp salt
-
2 Cups Of Cider
-
Smokey BBQ Sauce
-
Brioche Rolls
-
Coleslaw
Method
Step 1 - Gather your smoked paprika, ground cumin, pepper, brown sugar, and salt and mix them all together. Once that is done then rub over your boneless pork loin.
Step 2 - After you have rubbed in your mix, put the pulled pork into a large casserole dish and pour in your 2 medium cups of cider.
Step 3 - Cover with a lid or tin foil and leave in the oven at 150c or gas mark 2 for 4-6 hours. This will make the pork start to fall apart from itself. Keep an eye on it during this period and if it starts to get too dry then add a little more cider.
Step 4 - After it has finished cooking then take the meat out of the dish and put it into another separate dish on leaving the liquid inside the first casserole dish, cut the excess skin and fat.
Step 5 - Shred the meat apart using 2 forks, ditching any fatty extras inside the meat. After this is done add in your good smokey BBQ sauce and then it is ready to serve.
Step 5 - We would recommend having this with some coleslaw and brioche bun to really make this dish taste its best.
Everyone will love this sweet and tangy pulled pork served on soft rolls for a hearty and healthy meal. This easy slow cookeed meal makes a large batch, so there will be plenty of leftovers for quick and easy weekday meals. It’s ideal for a large gathering since it can be served hot or at room temperature.
